Labor Day weekend events in Vail

Some of Vail’s most popular events are taking place over Labor Day weekend and into the fall as we count down to the autumn colors arriving soon followed by Vail Mountain’s opening day on Nov. 15.

Here’s what’s happening in town over Labor Day Weekend:

Vail Jazz Party   |   Aug. 29 – Sept. 2   |
Through six unique performance series and three signature educational programs, Vail Jazz perpetuates jazz with a focus on young musicians and young audiences.

Gourmet on Gore   |   Aug. 30- Sept. 1   | 
This unique culinary festival offers an open-air tasting with world-class wine, beer and spirits paired with savory delights from Vail’s top culinary experts. Gourmet on Gore offers free admission and a variety of additional pairing events including Gourmet, Let’s Go!

Vail Rotary Duck Race   |   Sept.1   |
This annual fund-raiser takes place in Vail Village where up to 12,000 yellow rubber ducks are dumped into Gore Creek near the Covered Bridge and “race” down the river to the finish line underneath the Vail Rotary International Bridge. The Duck Race is the No. 1 fundraiser for the club and benefits local non-profits that participate in the adoption of ducks as well as local and international projects supported by the club. 

Vail Farmers’ Market & Art Show   |   Sept.1   |
With over 135 tents along Meadow Drive in Vail Village, the market features Colorado’s finest including locally grown produce, international dishes, fresh baked goods and even Colorado wine. The Art Show feeds travelers’ creativity offering everything from beautiful clothing and jewelry to handmade home items.
