After a taking brief hiatus to celebrate the 2015 Vail International Dance Festival, free concerts are back at ‘The Amp’ with Super Diamond – the Neil Diamond Tribute band taking the free concert stage Tuesday, August 11 at 6:30 p.m. for the Crazy Mountain Brewery’s Hot Summer Nights series at the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater in Vail.

SuperDiamond500Super Diamond front man “The Surreal Neil,” Randy Cordeiro, will astonish with his live interpretation of Neil Diamond, capturing not only his voice, but also his mannerisms and performance style. Randy formed Super Diamond with founding members Matt Tidmarsh (bass guitar), Rama Kolesnikow (keyboards), and his childhood friend James Terris (keyboards) and soon after attracted the stellar talents of Chris Collins (guitar) and Vince Littleton (drums).

Super Diamond delivers a glittering, smoke-filled show performing Neil’s power ballads and up-tempo hits with unrestrained enthusiasm. The show is pure entertainment – classic Neil Diamond music combined with fun, energy and passion – creating nostalgia for the good old days and excitement for today’s generation.

The Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater is located east of Golden Peak at Ford Park in Vail. Concert attendees are asked to park at the main Vail Village parking structure, with overflow parking at the Lionshead parking structure. For added convenience, the free Town of Vail shuttles will run extended routes past Golden Peak from 5:30-9:30 p.m., with a drop off at the soccer field near the Ford Amphitheater. Additionally, a special Village-to-Village express bus will run from 4-9:30 p.m. with stops at the east entrance of the Lionshead parking structure, in front of the Vail Village Information Center and at Ford Park.

Once inside the concert venue, picnics with commercially-sealed non-alcoholic beverages are permitted, as are legless lawn chairs, blankets and umbrellas. Bikes, skateboards and dogs are prohibited at the Amphitheater. A concession area with a full grill and bar service is available.

The Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater and Crazy Mountain Brewery’s Hot Summer Nights are projects of the Vail Valley Foundation. For additional information, contact (970) 777-2015 or visit www.vvf.org.
