A Golden woman has been arrested for allegedly vandalizing a $2,000 ice sculpture in Vail Village. Here’s the release from the Town of Vail:

Katherine Gail Kreidle

At approximately 12:30 p.m. Jan.9, Katherine Gail Kreidle, 22, of Golden, Colo., turned herself in to the Eagle County Sheriff’s Office for an active arrest warrant for felony criminal mischief.

The charge stemmed from a Jan. 2 incident in which an ice sculpture on the Gore Creek Promenade in Vail Village was destroyed.

During its investigation, the Vail Police Department identified Kreidle from leads generated from the public after images taken from surveillance cameras were circulated on social media. The Vail Police Department would like to extend its gratitude to the greater community for assisting with this case.

Note: All suspects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
