Ford Park closed for parking as Snow Daze cranks up

Beginning at 6 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 12 through 6 a.m. Monday, Dec. 16, the permit parking lot at Ford Park will be closed to accommodate the free Snow Daze concerts. During the closure, pink parking passes will be accepted at the soccer field as well as the Vail Village and Lionshead Village parking garages.

town of vail logoThe Snow Daze concert line up at Ford Park starts on Friday, Dec. 13 with entertainment by Rebelution and Mimosa. On Saturday, Dec. 14, Big Head Todd and the Monsters, plus Matisyahu will take the stage. The Ford Park concert venue opens at 6 p.m. for the performances which begin at 6:30 p.m. The concerts are free for general admission. Private reserve tickets are on sale at www.vail.com/snowdaze.

Bus service will be provided to and from Ford Park before and after the concerts. No vehicle drop-off or pick-up locations will be available from the South Frontage Road for Ford Park. Also, motorists may encounter delays on the South Frontage Road between Vail Valley Drive and the Pulis Bridge/Golf Course area during those times. Traffic control will be provided before, during and after the concert. Motorists are asked to exercise caution while driving in this area.

Overflow parking will be allowed in designated areas on the north side of South Frontage Road if both the Vail Village and Lionshead parking structures fill to capacity. Motorists are asked to refer to variable message signs for current parking information.
