Today is Election Day! Here’s what you need to know from the Vail Town Clerk’s Office.
Online registration – Visit www.govotecolorado.com
In-person registration – Visit Eagle County Voter Service and Polling Centers. For details, see https://www.eaglecounty.us/Clerk/Voting_and_Elections/Upcoming_Elections/
Eligibility requirements – Must live in the State of Colorado at least 22 days prior to registration. Must be citizen and 18 years of age. Must not claim the right to vote in any other state and consider Eagle County as sole place of residence.
Voter registration change – Any change in voter registration record will need to be addressed at the Eagle County Voter Service and Polling Centers on Election Day and will not be addressed at the Town of Vail offices. If you have moved, you must update your voter registration with your new residence address prior to voting.
November 5, 2019 – Voting at the poll begins at 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.
Polling location is Vail Municipal Building, 75 South Frontage Road
Voter verification – Bring a current and valid Colorado identification to the polling place, such as a Colorado driver’s license, U.S. passport, utility bill with name and address of elector, or Colorado State issued identification card
Absentee ballots – must be received in Vail Town Clerk’s Office by 7 p.m. Nov. 7 either by mail or hand delivered
Ballot Drop Off – Voters can drop off their Eagle County ballots at Grand View, Lionshead Transportation Center (third floor), 395 E. Lionshead Circle on Nov. 5 (until 7 p.m.). Contact Eagle County Clerk’s Office at 970-328-8715 for more information.
