Imhof had been serving as the interim President and CEO since Oct. 9, when Ceil Folz stepped down from the position after 25 years at the organization. Originally from Tacoma, Washington, Imhof joined the Foundation in 2007 and had been serving as Senior Vice President, overseeing operations, corporate sales and development, before being appointed interim President and CEO.

In his short time as interim CEO, Imhof has underscored the importance of working with the community and local partners to develop the vision for the future of the Vail Valley Foundation.

“I feel incredibly fortunate to be part of the Vail Valley Foundation for these past eight years, and I consider it an honor to now be able to lead an organization that has accomplished so much and given so much to a community that my family and I love,” Imhof said. “There are great things on the horizon due to the wonderful team we have at VVF.  The very talented staff, the local governments and institutions, the teachers and the volunteers who give their time to our educational programs and athletic events, it’s their contributions that make this organization, and this Valley, a great place to be.”

Imhof came to Vail in 1997 when he joined Vail Resorts as a national sales manager. He now lives in Wolcott with his wife, Ellen, and two boys Michael and Miles.
