Vail police make arrest in New Year’s assault case

At approximately 7:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 3, the Vail Police Department took Andrew Michael Reynolds, 23, of Avon, into custody for second degree assault causing serious bodily injury.

The charges stemmed from an incident that occurred in the early morning hours of Jan. 1 at 122 East Meadow Drive in Vail Village. Reynolds is currently being held at the Eagle County Detention Facility.

Vail Police would like to thank members of the community for their support and assistance with the investigation and for providing vital leads in identifying the suspect in the case.

Note: All suspects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
