All available hiking and biking trails on Vail Mountain are now open for the summer, including the Kinnickinnick and Sunlight hiking trails, which recently re-opened. Both trails had been closed in recent years due to construction projects including The 10th, Gondola One, and the Mountain Top Express Lift (#4).

Grand Traverse, one of Vail’s signature and most popular mountain biking trails, is also open and offers bikers iconic summer views of the legendary Back Bowls and the surrounding mountain ranges.

Explore Vail’s vast summer trail system on foot or on wheels with Adventure Ridge’s guided hike and bike tours. Tours are a great way for guests of all abilities to enjoy hiking and mountain biking trails and familiarize themselves with the mountain in summer, all with the help of a knowledgeable and friendly guide. Morning and afternoon tours are offered daily throughout the summer.

Lift tickets are required to ride Gondola One and the Eagle Bahn Gondola during the summer and can be purchased at the Vail Village or Lionshead Ticket Offices. All 2014-2015 season pass holders receive unlimited, free scenic access to the both gondolas. Guests who have not yet secured a pass for next winter can purchase online at www.epicpass.com or visit any ticket office for more information.
