May 30, 2009 — So you think you have mad bocce ball skills and want to prove it locally in the Vail Valley instead of having to always travel to the piazzas of Italy?
Or you've never played before and think it looks like fun?
Either way, you're in luck on Father's Day (June 21), because the family fundraiser La Bella Festa Bocce Tournament will be held from noon to 6 p.m. at the Eagle-Vail Pavilion.
Everything including equipment, snacks, dinner and live music will be provided. No experience necessary, and teams of four will compete for cash prizes.
All proceeds from entry fees will benefit Eagle County residents in crisis, with the Swift Eagle Charitable Foundation organizing the event.
For details contact Ginny Snowdon at (970) 949-5279 or e-mail vhsnow@aol.com.
