October 24, 2008 — Beaver Creek’s Halloweenfest, an annual tradition for ghouls and goblins of all ages, returns to the resort tonight, Oct. 24 and Saturday, Oct. 25.
Friday’s festivities feature the Ultimate Halloween Gala at the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek Resort & Spa; “a night in Transylvania” for adult revelers. The event benefits the Eagle County Charter Academy. Saturday’s lineup include the resort’s traditional Trick-or-Treat Street riddled with “scare stations” and an abundance of candy and non-candy giveaways, as well as a pumpkin carving contest, a costume contest, free outdoor ice skating and free family films.
“Halloweenfest has become a local favorite at Beaver Creek,” said Tony O’Rourke, executive director of the Beaver Creek Resort Company. “We’ve focused the day on fun and festivities for kids of all ages – toddlers to teens; and we’ve seen plenty of smiling parents, too.”
